Miasma

MIASMA means 1.A highly unpleasant or unhealthy smell or vapor: "a MIASMA of stale alcohol" or 2.An oppressive or unpleasant atmosphere that surrounds or emanates from something.  In the sense of the seccond definition when there is a funeral there is most likely a MIASMA. I don't know if anyone reading this read has seen the second episode of Hamish and Andy's Euro Gap Year but if you have then the rotten fish that Hamish forced Andy to eat had a MIASMA (in the sense of the first definition). I like this word, to hell with it, I like all words!
